Mozaic is a versatile iOS app designed for musicians and producers looking to take control of their MIDI setups. It provides a user-friendly scripting environment that allows you to craft custom MIDI scripts and effects, tailored to your specific needs. Whether you’re performing live or crafting music in your studio, Mozaic can be your secret weapon for unlocking new creative possibilities.

With Mozaic, you can design MIDI effects like arpeggiators, sequencers, note remappers, and much more. These effects can transform your MIDI data in real-time, adding depth and uniqueness to your music.

Introducing “cc-banks”

This is a convenience tool that simplifies knob mapping to CC messages. The script becomes incredibly handy when working with external gear, providing an effortless way to change CC values sent to your external synthesizers.

For instance, I use an APC40 with fixed CC values for its encoders. By mapping the APC to Mozaic’s knobs, I gain the flexibility to adjust CC values dynamically, a feature particularly useful when hardware lacks an iOS editor. Additionally, Mozaic saves states, making it easy to recall values. To ensure safety, the script won’t autosend current values on load, but you can trigger an update manually when needed.
